"Next step for Gappa": international webinar presented by Uisp

The international webinar entitled "Next step for Gappa - Moving people from below" took place online on Thursday 3 September from 11 to 12.30. The meeting was broadcasted on the Facebook page Uisp national projects and national Uisp and is an integrated part of the second segment of the NEXT Project’s kick off meeting, of which Uisp is the lead partner.  

NEXT is a European project involving Italy, Denmark, Croatia, Romania, Spain and Germany. UISP intends to share good practices and experiences in the field of neighborhood sport to combat a sedentary lifestyle and promote well-being in the population. 

“This project represents a novelty in the Italian and European panorama - explains Stefano Pucci, Uisp health and inclusion policy manager - that of Uisp is the first structured experience in Italy, and has been highly evaluated by Europe. Our model can be replicated wherever the condominium contests agree, thanks to the experiences of Sassari, Milan and Reggio Emilia”. 

The international meeting was attended by Dr. Fiona Bull of the WHO-World Health Organization who edited the Global Action Plan for Physical Activity (Gappa), Mogens Kirkeby, President of ISCA (international network of which Uisp is part), as well as Stefano Pucci responsible for Health and Inclusion Policies Uisp and Raffaella Chiodo Karpinsky who will moderate the meeting. 

The webinar was also attended by representatives of the European partners of the project: ISCA (International Sport and Culture Association), Denmark; SSIZ (Sportska Zajednica Istarske Zupanije), Croatia; AJSPT (Asociatia Judeteana Sportul Pentru Toti Suceava), Romania; UNICLAM (University of Cassino and Southern Lazio), Italy; Fundaciò UBAE, Spain; DTB (Deutscher Turnerb Bund), Germany.
